Biography
Xiao Zhang is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in Hydrology at the Institute of Environment & Ecology, Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (SIGS). His research interests include climate change, water system models, watershed sustainable development, and the water-food-environment nexus.
Since joining the i-Ecoclimatology group, his work has focused on utilizing process models such as WRF and CLM-5, combined with deep learning algorithms, to simulate regional and global water-food-environment interactions. In particular, he conducts national-scale climate simulations to evaluate the regional climate effects and ecohydrological feedback of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project.
